Wix Cup

On Thursday the A team played Cunningham Hill   in the semi-final of  the Wix Cup.  It was, as usual, a very close game with opportunities to score from both teams.  Both goalkeepers pulled off some fine saves, but we did manage to put one past their goalkeeper and hold on to our lead for the second half.  The final score was 1-0 to us and puts us through to the final against Fleetville on the 8th March.

A great result boys, well done!!

Year 4 Speed Stacking

On Tuesday 9th February 17 children from year 4 represented the school in a speed stacking competition. The event was held at Garden Fields against teams from other schools. The children each completed in two individual and two team events. Stacking cups in a 3:3:3 and then a 3:6:3 formation. Each competition was times against the clock. Two of our children came third in one of the individual events. The girls A team finished 3rd overall and the boys B team finished 2nd. It was a fiercely fought event and at the end Bernards Heath did really well to finish 2nd out of 12 teams. Well done to everyone involved.

Football match v Bowman's Green

On Wednesday our B team played Bowman's Green in a league game.  From the start the boys played with a great team spirit and competed strongly for the ball.  It was a great game to watch with some lovely goals from the boys.  The final score was 4-1 to us.  Well done boys.

Herts Primary Schools Cross Country Championships

On Saturday some of our cross country team participated in the Herts Cross Country Championships at Westminster Lodge.  Although it was very muddy, which caused a problem for some of our team, it was at least dry for the run.  All of our team ran very well over quite a challenging course and should be very proud of their results.  (As yet I don't have the official positions)
Well done

Football Match v Killigrew

On Monday the A team played Killigrew in a league game.   These games are always close and this was no exception.  Killigrew started well and scored within the first 5 minutes.  This woke us up and the boys started to play with more determination, which led to a very good goal by Kobi.  The second half was again a hard battle until eventually Kobi bundled the ball over the line for our second goal.  We managed to hold Killigrew off for the rest of the game to finish with a win to us, 2-1.
